Aboriginal Youth Mean Business!

Jennifer Sypulski

Office Manager, Mental Health Commission of Canada

Jennifer Sypulski believes in the importance that getting an education and working hard at any age can definitely lead you to a wonderful life!

Jenniferís inspiration came from many different people, including her Mother, Father and her half brother that lives with paranoid schizophrenia.

Upon graduating with an Administrative Assistant Certificate from Herzing College in her mid twenties, she moved to Calgary to work as the office manager for the Mental Health Commission of Canada, where she enjoys the opportunity of helping people with mental health conditions.

Living in Calgary has provided an enjoyable life for Jennifer and her partner Jesse, as since moving from Winnipeg to Calgary, they adopted their son Charlie and daughter Zoey.

Her advice for fellow young Aboriginal entrepreneurs is to work hard, don't give-up and reflect on such quotes as:

  • Good things come to those who wait
  • The kind of person you are is a matter of character, not circumstances
  • The character traits worth having are those you acquire at the cost of personal sacrifice

Definitely wise words for any young Aboriginal entrepreneur!
